New Senior Test Consultants joins Test-Direct

As part of its continued expansion and investment in the future, Test-Direct has recently made two new senior appointments to its management team. We would like to extend a warm welcome to two industry heavyweights in Steve Allott and Dan Martland. Both are joining us as Senior Consultants with a remit in driving forward the companies capabilities and further enhancing our reputation in the marketplace.

Steve Allott
Steve joins Test-Direct bringing with him over 30 years IT experience and has been involved in many complex software testing projects for blue chip companies in the finance, telecommunications, travel and online retail sectors.

He was recently described as a ‘feature of the software testing community’ due to his significant contribution to testing qualifications, conferences and standards over the years.

Steve was a founder member of the ISEB qualifications board and is currently programme secretary for the BCS Software Testing Specialist Group. In March 2009 Steve was recognised by the BCS as a Chartered IT Professional Fellow.

He is an advisor to Specialisterne, a company that employs people with Autism on software testing projects.

Steve is married with three children and lives in West Sussex.

Dan Martland
With over 13 years in top-flight consultancy, Dan has worked with a wide range of household names, blue-chip organisations and government departments.

His career has spanned both the technical and business spheres, and he has a proven track record advising clients on technical testing or how to build test centres of excellence.

With extensive experience from time-dependent batch applications to low latency mission critical systems, Dan has delivered demanding testing projects to the highest levels of quality, including part of the UK's strategic financial infrastructure
